I normally only send one email each quarter. Trust me, I hate marketing emails as much as you do. Possibly even more. This is a rare exception, and the reason for it is something I hope you will find as exciting as I do.
Digital Cue Scores Now Available!
I have decided (for various reasons and requests) that after more than twenty years it’s finally time to digitize my massive supertitles library. This involves the careful scanning and processing of more than 300 works (some with multiple editions). It’s a Herculean project, but one that is well worth the time and effort.
There are multiple benefits to a digitized score…
- There is now no need to wait for, or return, a physical score.*
- No international shipping costs or charges.
- It’s a greener option than printing, allowing for use of tablets or laptops to view the score while running the slideshow.
- Printing your own local copy, if desired, allows you to write all over it and make whatever marks you need.
- Digitized scores allow for easy adjustments to cue tabs if necessary.
- Digitized scores allow for much easier processing of cuts
* (if you have a score out now, you do still have to send it back so I can scan it!)
Cleaner and More Efficient
In the past, processing cuts required adding Post-It Notes to the score and forced the slideshow runner to potentially navigate quickly through many pages of the score to find the cut’s destination point.
Now, thanks to pdf digitized cue scores cut points can be easily added as in-document hyperlinks. The runner just presses the link box and the score automatically jumps to the next moment!
Another cool benefit: That yellow “Cue 146” box is a text comment. This means it can simply be clicked and repositioned if desired.
No More Mailing Back Scores
Digital cue scores also mean no shipping, no waiting, and no returning of physical cue scores after the production is over. This saves you two very important commodities: Time and Money!
Anyone who wishes to have a cue score mailed to them can still have that service as part of your rental. There is no additional charge for larger works, and only a shipping add-on for smaller ones. The printed score won’t be adjustable like a pdf, but it does not have to be returned; just recycle that sucker when you’re done!
